I woke up this morning to an announcement that I was inducted into the Content Marketing World Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
While I am humbled by this honor, maybe I should explain: In just under a month, the biggest content marketing conference will descend upon Cleveland, OH – home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And so the Rock theme of the event this year was just a natural fit.
And creating content that “rocks” is also a theme I’ve used in many of my own presentations on content marketing so it makes a lot of sense to me. I have said that it is not enough to create great content. You have to go the extra step to create content that truly helps your audience by being helpful, or entertaining or inspiring.
Here’s a photo collage of some of the familiar faces included in the eBook produced by TopRank Online Marketing and the Content Marketing Institute containing lots of practical content marketing advice:

Awesome! Thanks for sharing and for contributing Michael! You rock 🙂
Thanks so much Lee. It was an honor and privilege!
Michael, that’s a huge honor. I don’t know if I’ve told you this yet, but I point to your work at SAP quite often as an example of content marketing and corporate blogging done right. You guys are way ahead of the curve.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much Ted and looking forward to the possibility of working with you!
BTW I’ve been meaning to catch up with you offline for an interview on Switch and Shift TV. Stand by for an email…
Great list!, having just included you and many of your top minds in content marketing on a digital marketing influencers list of my own, it’s great to read a few new names and learn who I might have missed, thank you!
Thanks Chaz. Truly honored!
You definitely do rock, Michael. It’s amazing to me to think how hemmed in you were “at a previous organization” only 8 or 9 years ago, and now look! Congrats.
Thanks so much Greg. Every step leads to the next. I enjoyed our time together and learned a lot. Especially from you! Hope all is well.
