For the 169th episode of The Marketing Book Podcast, I interviewed Alex Goldfayn, author of Selling Boldly: Applying the New Science of Positive Psychology to Dramatically Increase Your Confidence, Happiness, and Sales.

The author argues persuasively that fear is the single greatest killer of sales. And the financial cost of fear is colossal.

The book explains that most sales fear is overblown and unrealistic. To get to that understanding, the author shows you how to discover how good you actually are so that you gain confidence, positivity, and boldness.

Once that is better understood, the other necessary ingredient for sales success is to communicate with your prospects more, because the more we communicate, the more we sell. It never works the other way.
