12 Best Slideshares of 2014 (So Far)

best slideshare 2014Late last year I shared the 25 best presentations of the year on slideshare.

And the article continues to be one of my most popular articles of all time!

And while I still believe Slideshare is one of the greatest opportunities in content marketing, it looks like it might not be a huge secret any longer.

I see a much higher volume of brands using slideshare to create some great (and some not so great) presentations.

Just six months into the year and there’s already more than a dozen presentations with over 100,000 pageviews in the marketing category alone.

Here are some of my top picks:

1. KPCB Internet trends 2014 from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (Of course! And check out my review of the most important 10 slides from this presentation.)

2. Storytelling in 2014 from Gary Vaynerchuk (Saw Gary present a version of this. @Garyvee is Awesome!)

3. Pixar’s 22 Rules to Phenomenal Storytelling from Gavin McMahon (Also covered Pixar in this recent post.)

4. 40 Tools in 20 Minutes: Hacking your Marketing Career from Eric Leist (PS – I’m a big fan of growth hacker marketing.)

5. The Future of Business Models from Jeremiah Owyang. (You should all be following my friend @jowyang. You should also check out my interview with him.)

6. Meet Generation Z: Forget Everything You Learned About Millennials from sparks & honey

7. Why Content Marketing Fails from Rand Fishkin (Also check out my “29 signs you are not ready for content marketing.”)

8. 8 Places You’re Guaranteed to Find Great Content to Tweet from HubSpot

9. JWT: 10 Mobile Trends for 2014 and Beyond (May 2014) from JWTIntelligence

10. The Power of Visual Storytelling from NewsCred (Yes, I work here! But come on, this is a cool example of visual storytelling, re-purposed for Slideshare, covered in a blog post, linking to a cool visual experience about creating cool visual experiences. #geekingout)

11. 10 Marketing Tips that will Increase your ROI in 30 days from NicoleElmore.com

12. Cannes Lions Predictions 2014 from Bridget Jung

And here’s my own best effort so far this year. Clearly I need to up my game!
