Weekend Reading: “Powering Content” by Laura Busche

For the 128th episode of The Marketing Book Podcast, I interviewed Laura Busche, author of Powering Content: Building a Nonstop Content Marketing Machine.

One of the biggest concerns of content marketers is their ability to produce enough content. In Powering Content, Laura Busche shows you how to scale the content production process with an emphasis on content strategy that is so lacking in much of content marketing.

The book has three sections that address content strategy, content creation and content management, and includes a deep dive into the 10 most important aspects of content marketing.

Reading about Henry Ford’s life helped me understand the importance of reproducing stellar work through a continual process. Extending it. Projecting it. Scaling it. I soon discovered that content is both an art and a science. Both masterpiece and routine. Craft and task. It should be exceptional enough to strike as unique – and repeatable enough to be scalable.
